India, Friendship, and the Beauty of Shared Journeys

India, Friendship, and the Beauty of Shared Journeys

September 04, 20252 min read

Some trips change the way you see the world. Others help you come back to yourself.

India does both.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on past travel moments with friends, like my dear friend Cat, who once said while we were catching up in a café, “A Dominican and a German in a coffee shop, it’s the best.” That simple, funny line reminded me of what travel really is: connection. Across cultures, across languages, and sometimes across a shared cup of coffee.

Why India? Why Now?

I’m headed to India soon, and this time, I’m inviting a small group of women to come with me. It’s not a typical tour. There won’t be 6 a.m. bus departures or frantic box-checking of sites. Instead, this journey is about experiencing India with presence and purpose.

A small group of older women on a spiritual journey, walking through a peaceful Indian temple garden at golden hour.

We’ll still see the beauty, temples, colorful markets, the rhythm of daily life, but we’ll also have time to breathe, reflect, and truly feel the pulse of the places we visit. Ayurvedic healing, soulful food, quiet mornings, meaningful conversations… this trip is designed for women who crave something deeper than surface-level sightseeing.

Whether it’s your first time to India or you’ve always dreamed of going, this is about traveling gently, with intention, and never feeling like you have to figure it all out alone.

What It’s Like to Travel Together

This isn’t luxury for the sake of luxury. It’s ease, comfort, and safety, so that you can fully relax and experience the journey. Traveling together means:

  • You have someone who’s done this before and knows how to make it seamless.

  • You’ll be surrounded by other curious, kind women who want connection, not chaos.

  • There’s room for laughter, spontaneity, quiet time, and real conversations.

Some of the most beautiful moments from past trips weren’t on any itinerary, they happened in between. A local woman sharing her story. A group dinner that turned into an impromptu dance party. A quiet sunrise that felt like it was just for you.

That’s the kind of travel I believe in, and what I hope this India trip becomes for those who join me.

The Real Treasures
The truth is, the deeper parts of travel can’t be captured in photos. They’re in the stories you come home with. The friendships that form. The way you start to see the world and yourself, a little differently.

India has a way of opening the heart. If you feel the tug, this may be your time.
